Laws on human rights address your right to redress for wrongs done, rights to know, rights as a suspect, defendant or prisoner, rights to protest, rights of equal treatment, rights as a worker, and so on - your rights in all walks of life and situations.
Liberty Guide to human rights, is a prime site for information and advice on human rights law as applied in England and Wales. Liberty also run a phone advice line (0845 123 2307). Liberty is an independent human rights organisation run by volunteers, many of whom are law experts.
Scottish Human Rights Trust also provide an online source of information and advice on human rights law as applied in Scotland. They provide an online guide to the European Convention on Human Rights, the Human Rights Act, and a Citizen Guide, as well as links to organisations providing free advice and support on human rights issues.
Human Rights Watch is a world wide organisation monitoring and reporting on human rights across the globe. They provide information of use to people dealing with asylum seekers and refugees in the UK.
